About this frame

A slim, square 17mm profile — understated and endlessly versatile, in a clean, bright white in a smooth, closed-grain finish. It suits light interiors, airy gallery walls and modern or Scandi rooms. Each frame is cut, mitred and assembled to fit your print — handmade in the UK and shipped ready to hang.

Crop your image

One frame, a whole year

A collage solves the problem of having forty photos worth keeping and one wall. Instead of choosing the single best picture of the year, you choose the ten or twelve that tell the story of it — and the finished print reads as one piece rather than a scrapbook page.

How many photos is too many

  • Six to nine photos: each one is still readable from across the room. Best for a big year — a wedding, a first baby, a move.
  • Ten to sixteen: the year-in-review layout. Individual faces read close up, the shape reads from a distance.
  • Twenty or more: this becomes a texture rather than a set of photographs. It works, but print it large.

Mixing portrait and landscape

Phone photos come in both shapes and a collage that ignores this ends up with awkward gaps. The designer lets you drop each photo into a cell and reposition inside it, so a portrait shot in a landscape slot is cropped by you, not by an algorithm. If a photo matters, give it a bigger cell — hierarchy is what stops a collage looking like a contact sheet.

Black and white is a shortcut to coherence

Photos taken across a year come from different phones, different light and different seasons, and the colour temperature jumps around. Converting the whole set to black and white removes that problem instantly and is usually the difference between a collage that looks designed and one that looks assembled.

Print it bigger than you think

The most common regret on a collage is size. A twelve-photo layout at 8" x 10" gives each photo less than two inches of space. For anything above six photos, 16" x 20" or 50cm x 70cm is the sensible floor.

If one photograph is doing all the work rather than a dozen, see Christmas photo frames .

The craft

What makes it special

Great design deserves great craftsmanship. That’s why we do everything ourselves — from the printing to framing — all in our London studio. Every material is carefully chosen for its quality and sustainability, sourced only from trusted manufacturers in the UK and Europe. While many brands rely on mass-produced frames or outsourced production, we take pride in creating every piece with care — so you receive a product that looks and feels as special as the moment it celebrates.

What is a Christmas photo collage print?
One framed print holding several of your photos — a year of memories, the kids growing up, a trip — laid out together as a keepsake.
How many photos can I include?
Several layouts are built in. Pick a layout, drop your photos into the designer and rearrange until it looks right, then preview before ordering.
Will it arrive in time for Christmas?
Order early to be safe. Every piece is printed and framed to order, and the live last-order date at the top of this page is calculated for your country, including postal holidays. Production and delivery times are also shown at checkout.
Does it come framed?
You choose. Add a frame and mount in the designer, or order the print on its own to fit a frame you already have.
