About this frame

A slim, square 17mm profile — understated and endlessly versatile, in a deep, confident black in a smooth, closed-grain finish. It suits monochrome photography, bold typographic prints and anything you want to feel grounded and gallery-sharp. Each frame is cut, mitred and assembled to fit your print — handmade in the UK and shipped ready to hang.

  • Backed in archival foamboard with sealed edges.
  • Ships with hanging hardware fitted; larger frames include wire + screws.

Film posters come in their own sizes. A UK quad is 30×40 inches, a one-sheet is 27×40, and modern retail prints are usually A1 or A2 — so this page starts from the poster, not from a shelf of frames.

Pick your size and moulding, choose Frame only if you already have the print, and the frame arrives assembled with the hanging hardware fitted. Got an odd-sized quad or an original one-sheet?

What size is a movie poster?

A UK quad is 30×40 inches (landscape) and a one-sheet is 27×40 inches (portrait). Modern retail reprints are usually A1 (594×841mm) or A2. Measure yours before ordering — reissues vary.

You don't list my poster's size — can you still frame it?

Yes, as a made-to-measure quote rather than a click-to-buy size. Send us the width and height and we'll price a frame cut to it, in the same mouldings.

Can you frame a poster I already own?

Yes — that's what this page is for. Choose Frame only in the customiser and we send the empty frame, assembled with the hanging hardware fitted. Nothing gets sent to us.

My poster has been rolled up for years — will it lie flat?

Usually, yes. Lay it face-down under a few heavy books for a couple of days before it goes in the frame. A mount helps too — it holds the outer edge of the poster flat against the backing board.

Should I add a mount?

Optional. A mount lifts the glass off the poster and gives it a border, which suits a framed poster on a plain wall. Skip it if you want the poster edge-to-edge.

Which mouldings can I have?

Any solid-wood moulding in the sizes listed. Aluminium is offered in our stock sizes only — off-stock aluminium would ship as a self-assembly kit, and we would rather send you a finished frame.
